Spartans Too Much For Gopher Hoops To Handle

The #8 Michigan State Spartans beat the Minnesota Golden Gopher men's basketball team 74-58 in East Lansing, Michigan Thursday night. The loss drops the Gophers to 8-7 overall this season and 2-3 in the Big Ten.

Daniel Oturu led a disappointing Gopher offense with 22 points while also grabbing ten rebounds. Spartans point guard Cassius Winston led all scorers with 27 points.

The Gophers will try to bounce back when they host Michigan Sunday afternoon at Williams Arena. Tip-off is set for 12 p.m. on AM 1390, Granite City Sports.
