HS Football:ROCORI Moves On With Win Over Hermantown

Brainerd -- The score was ROCORI 19 and Hermantown 13 at halftime.  ROCORI got the ball to start the second half.  They moved the ball very well down field but was unable to score on their first possession of the second half.

Hermantown would then get the ball to start their first possession of the second half.  Just like their opponent Hermantown moved the ball very well.  They got to the goal line and scored on a 1 yard touchdown run by fullback Jame Lindberg to make the score 19-20.

ROCORI answered right back with a nice drive move the ball down the field.  They would score on a 33 yard touchdown reception from Jordan Barth to make the score 25-20.

Hermantown tried to answer the ROCORI score with a score of their own.  They were moving the ball but quarterback Nick Bostrom threw the ball in triple coverage and was intercepted by Rocori's Nathan Thorpe. 

Looking to capitalize on the interception by Thorpe.  ROCORI moved the ball down field to get into the red zone.  On a fourth and goal they scored on a 20 yard touchdown reception by Derek Thompson and after a successful two point conversion the score was 33-20.

ROCORI quarterback Connor Schoborg finished the game 22-33 for 302 yards with 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
