Gophers Top Louisville to Advance in NCAAs
The Gopher men's basketball team pulled off a mild upset in the NCAA tournament first round today 86-76 in Des Moines, Iowa. Minnesota led by 5 at halftime and by as many as 19 points in the 2nd half. Freshman Gabe Kalscheur led the Gophers with 24 points including 5-11 from 3-point range.
Souhan; Vikings’ Kline Expected to Start [PODCAST]
The Vikings added free agent Offensive Lineman Josh Kline and Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan expects Kline to start at guard immediately. Tennessee cut Kline earlier this month. Jim joined me on WJON today.

Colorado Edges Wild 3-1
The Minnesota Wild missed an opportunity to retake the 2nd wildcard spot in the Western Conference after falling at home to Colorado 3-1 Tuesday night. Zach Parise scored the lone Minnesota goal on a power play in the 2nd period and Devan Dubnyk had 35 saves.
Warriors Top Timberwolves
The Timberwolves lost 117-107 at Target Center against the Golden State Warriors Tuesday night. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Wolves with 26 points and 21 rebounds, Andrew Wiggins had 20 points and Josh Okogie added 19.

The Section 8-3-A and Section 6-2-A title will be decided tonight. Sartell-St. Stephen plays top seeded Bemidji tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Brainerd. Bemidji is seeded first in the section with Sartell as the #2 seed.

The Gopher men's basketball team has likely done enough to earn a bid to the NCAA tournament after coming from behind to beat Penn State 77-72 in overtime in the 2nd round of the Big Ten Tournament last night in Chicago.
