Waite Park Resident Has Purse Stolen; Gets It Back
A Waite Park resident had their purse stolen on Sunwood Park Drive in Waite Park. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crime Stoppers says a person parked their car in their driveway, left it unlocked, left a purse in the vehicle, and someone walked by and stole the purse.
SCSU To Celebrate More Than 700 Graduates Next Week
St. Cloud State will have 2 days of commencement ceremonies December 12-13 for those graduating after the first semester. SCSU Interim President Larry Dietz joined me on WJON. He says approximately 750 students will be graduated with 2 ceremonies on December 12 with another 4 on December 13.
Johnnies/Bennies Both Win MIAC Openers
The St. Ben's and St. John's basketball teams both won their MIAC openers Wednesday night against St. Olaf. St. Ben's defeated St. Olaf 60-42 at Claire Lynch Hall while #23 St. John's knocked off St. Olaf 75-60 at Sexton Arena in Collegeville.
Rox Promote Thiesse to Vice President
The St. Cloud Rox have announced that Rachel Thiesse has been promoted to the position of Vice President. Thiesse is entering her seventh season with the Rox. Thiesse most recently was an Assistant General Manager after three years in Promotions beginning as a Rox intern in 2019.
