Timberwolves Win at Washington to Go 4-1
The Timberwolves played the first of 2 games without Karl-Anthony Towns Saturday night and Minnesota wins at Washington 131-109. Minnesota was led by Andrew Wiggins with 21 points and both Robert Covington and Jarrett Culver added 20 points.
SCSU Hockey Ties Princeton 5-5
The St. Cloud State men's hockey team settled for a 5-5 tie in Saturday's game with Princeton at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. SCSU lost 5-3 to Princeton Friday night.
SCSU Football Blown Out at Bemidji State
The St. Cloud State football lost 38-14 at Bemidji State Saturday afternoon. The Huskies fell behind 17-0 at halftime and it didn't get better for SCSU in the 2nd half. Dwayne Lawhorn threw for 207 yards and a touchdown and he ran for 26 yards for the Huskies.
Johnnie Football Suffers First Loss In Overtime
The St. John's football team lost 19-18 at home against Concordia-Moorhead Saturday. The Johnnies were outscored 7-6 in overtime. Henry Trost scored his 2nd of 2 touchdowns in overtime but the extra point was blocked.
