Honors For Johnnies, Huskies and Gophers

St. John's senior kicker Jimmie Mattson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin is the MIAC football special teams player of the week.  He was 3-3 on field goals and made his lone extra point try in St. John's 27-22 loss at Bethel Saturday.  Mattson made a season best 49-yard field to tie the game at 3 in the first half.  St. John's finished their season with a 5-5 overall record.

St. Cloud State redshirt senior Shamus O'Grady of Coon Rapids is the NSIC wrestler of the week.  The 184 pounder was 4-0 in the 2012 Iowa State Harold Nichols Cyclone Open on November 10.

Minnesota women's basketball player Micaella Riche is the Big Ten Women's Basketball player of the week.  Riche averaged 24.5 points and 10 rebounds in 2 Gopher games at Williams Arena in the Best Buy Classic last weekend.  The Gophers will host the Subway Classic at Williams Arena this Saturday and Sunday.
