Minnesota Federal Judge Susan Nelson has ruled in favor of the players lifting the NFL lockout pending an appeal from the owners.  Nelson agreed with the players' notion that the work stoppage is causing irreparable harm to their playing career.  League owners plan to appeal the ruling.  Both sides still need to work out a new collective bargaining agreement to ensure that football will take place this fall.  The two sides are expecting to resume mediation talks May 16.
