NBA referee William Spooner is suing Timberwolves Associated Press writer Jon Krawczynski for defamation over a Twitter message.  The twitter message posted by Krawczynski suggested that Spooner intentionally made a bad call against Houston after making a previous bad call against the Timberwolves when the Wolves played the Rockets on January 24.  Spooner says in the lawsuit Wolves coach Kurt Rambis argued a call against Minnesota and Spooner told him he would review it at halftime.  Rambis said it was fine but asked how he was going to get the points back.  The tweet posted by Krawczynski said "Ref Bill Spooner told Rambis he'd get it back after a bad call.  Then he made an even worse call on Rockets.  That's NBA officiating folks."  Spooner denies the "get it back" statement.
