The Vikings signed veteran cornerback Benny Sapp to a contract Wednesday.  Minnesota had a need at that position with Antoine Winfield sidelined for the season with a fractured clavicle and 2nd year cornerback Chris Cook facing felony domestic battery charges.  Cook is active but not with the team.  Sapp was with the Vikings from 2008-2010 before being traded to Miami early in the 2010 season for receiver Greg Camarillo.

Sapp was released by Miami after week 1 this season.  The Vikings host Oakland Sunday at noon, pregame on WJON at 11am.  Minnesota is a 1-point underdog.
