Can The Frost Capture A Third Straight Walter Cup Title?
Even though the Minnesota Frost didn't win Saturday night against the Vancouver Goldeneyes, they STILL placed third in the regular season and are headed to the PWHL Walter Cup Playoffs for a third time.
Could our Minnesota Frost win for a third time in a row?
COULD A TRIPLE CROWN BE IN THE WORKS FOR THE MINNESOTA FROST?
The Minnesota Frost have already made history, being the first professional women's hockey team to have ever won the Walter Cup.
It was quite unexpected, but they gained the right momentum in their second season and ended up winning The Walter Cup for a second year in a row in 2025. Yeah! Our Minnesota Frost!

GETTING IN THE GROOVE
Now it appears that they are finding their groove just in time for the playoffs, and have the opportunity to not be just the first winners of The Walter Cup, but now they have the opportunity to make it a Triple Crown.
The Minnesota Frost have finished the regular season with a 13-3-5-9 record, and they are set to start the best-of-five semifinals this week.
Montreal Victoire took first place in the regular season and chose to face the third-place finisher. They will face the two-time Walter Cup Champions on Saturday, May 2nd at 1 pm at Place Bell.

THE CHALLENGE FOR THE FROST
Will it be a tough win? The Montreal Victoire won all four games in the head-to-head season series against the Frost. Just like the Frost, The Victoire have been to the play-offs all three seasons.
The Victoire finished in first place in the regular season for the second time in a row, and in doing so, selected the third-place team as their opponent. This year, that team was the Minnesota Frost.
