We will include from the Central Lakes Conference: Sartell Sabres, Sauk Rapids Storm, St. Cloud Tech Tigers and Rocori Spartans. From the Granite Ridge Conference: Albany Huskies and the Foley Falcons and the Becker Bulldogs moved from the Granite Ridge into the Mississippi 8 Conference. From the Central Minnesota Conference the Eden Valley Watkins Eagles, Kimball Area Cubs, Holdingford Huskers and now added the Paynesville Bulldogs. The Royalton/Upsala Royals have moved from the Park Region Conference into the Central Minnesota Conference.

The Sabres could make a strong challenge for both conference and another possible final four, if they continue to improve and stay healthy. Dylan Enriquez, Andy Heckman, Sam Fernholz and Jack Engle should be their key leaders thru out the season.

The Falcons will be looking for a big season from some of their young wrestlers. They will have back two state qualifiers and eight section place winners along with six with a great deal of experience. They could challenge their good dual meet marks from last season. They would need to stay healthy thru out the season. They should challenge to defend their Granite Ridge Conference championship. It will be a new look for them in the Section. They will be moving from Section 6AA to Section 7AA, where there may not be as many balanced teams. But they will face some strong challenges from their rivals the Mora Mustangs along with the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks and the Princeton Tigers. They will have eight back with nineteen wins or more. They did graduate four seniors, including three section place winners. The key leaders should be state qualifiers; Connor Thorsten and Logan Thorsten and Levi Jacobson, who was injured in the team section. Look for big seasons from Elijah Novak, Isaiah Fitch, Ethan Oswald, Evan Milejczak and Hunter Gorecki.

They could move up in the conference standings, it should be very balance this year, a couple of individual matches could determine nearly all the conferences duals this season. Zach Nistler, Taylor Ludwig, Gavin Mathies, Teagyn Ludwig and Austin Schlangen should be their key leaders thru out the season.

They key leaders should include: James Welle, Sam Harren, Drew Lange, Maxwell Secord and Tate Lange thru out the season.

They could move up in the conference standings, all the teams appear to be very close on paper. They could make a challenge for a top four spot in what could turn out to be one of the toughest sections in the state. Craig Schmitz, Weston Roberg, Riley Messer, Brett Mages, Brandon Schlangen, Shawn Pinske and Dalton Christenson should be their key leaders thru out the season.

If this team stays healthy they should improve on those dual meet numbers from last season and should challenge for conference honors. They will be compete in the Central Minnesota Conference this season, which should be very balanced. Look for the Royals if they stay healthy and continue to improve to make a strong challenge for section honors. Their key leaders should include; Jacob Leibold, Mason Novitzki, Gage Louden, Gabe Gorecki, Will Gorecki and Matthew Kasella to be their key leaders thru out the season. The Royals actually have two others that were fighting injuries last year that are very capable of winning 20+ matches.

The Bulldogs will be new to the Mississippi 8 Conference after competing in the Granite Ridge for a few years. The Bulldogs had a great season last year, despite a couple of key injuries. They have eight section place winners, including four state qualifiers of which two were state place winners, along with eight others with varsity experience. They did graduate six seniors last spring, including a pair of section place winners. Look for the Bulldogs if they stay healthy thru the fall sports and thru out the season to challenge those dual marks from season. They should make a challenge for honors in both conference and the section. Their key leaders thru out the season should include; Jake Nelson, Brayden Weber, Lukas Paulson, Ethan Anderson, Caden Dewall and Kyle Rish.
