As the winter chill sets in, high school athletes are heating things up on the court and rink. Let’s check out this week’s game highlights.

This weekend's hockey matchups promise excitement. Local teams are gearing up, and the energy in the community is electric.

The Spartans will play against Mankato East at 6:30 p.m. in a semifinal matchup.

St. John's University has announced the hiring of James Herberg as a defensive assistant coach with the football team. Herberg was a defensive assistant with ROCORI from 2009-2017 and was the team's head coach from 2018-2024.

Tonight's matchup between the Spartans and Fighting Saints is scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start.

The Cathedral baseball team picked up a 19-4 win over St. Agnes on Tuesday at the MAC in St. Cloud. The Crusaders put up 14 runs in the third inning to pull away for the blowout win.

We will include from the Central Lakes Conference: Sartell Sabres, Sauk Rapids Storm, St. Cloud Tech Tigers and Rocori Spartans. From the Granite Ridge Conference: Albany Huskies, Foley Falcons and the Becker Bulldogs from the Mississippi 8 Conference. From the Central Minnesota Conference the Eden Valley Watkins Eagles, Kimball Area Cubs, Holdingford Huskers, Paynesville Bulldogs and Royalton/Upsala Royals.

Brink's 42-year coaching career at ROCORI included a Class AA state championship in 1988, 14 state tourney appearances, 22 conference championships and nine "Coach of the Year" awards. Brink's teams posted a 936-327 record.
