The City of Minneapolis made a proposal Monday to become the local partner the Vikings were looking for to help build a new stadium.  Minneapolis is proposing a $895 Million Vikings Stadium and renovations to Target Center.  The Vikings are being asked to pay for 45% of the cost, Minneapolis would pay 22% and the state will pick up the remaining 33%.  Vikings Vice President for stadium development Lester Bagley says the Vikings do not support paying for 45% the cost.  Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and Minneapolis city councilwomen Barbara Johnson made the announcement at a press conference Monday afternoon.  The Vikings are still expecting a stadium proposal from Ramsey County as early as today.  The Ramsey County site is location in Arden Hills in the former Army Ammunition site.  The Minneapolis site is where the Metrodome is located.  The Minneapolis proposal would also cause the Vikings to have to play 3 years at TCF Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota.
