Vikings Address Needs In First Round Of Draft
The Vikings addressed two positions of need in the first round of the NFL Draft Thursday night, taking a wide receiver and a cornerback with their two picks.
Minnesota filled the wide receiver vacancy that was created by the trade of Stefon Diggs to the Bills by drafting LSU's Justin Jefferson with the 22nd pick. Jefferson pulled in 111 catches last season for 1,540 yards with the Tigers.
The Vikings then swapped picks with the 49ers, moving down from 25 to 31, to select TCU defensive back Jeff Gladney.
The second and third rounds of the draft are slated for Friday night at 6 p.m.
