Timberwolves Win at Washington to Go 4-1
The Timberwolves played the first of 2 games without Karl-Anthony Towns Saturday night and Minnesota wins at Washington 131-109. Minnesota was led by Andrew Wiggins with 21 points and both Robert Covington and Jarrett Culver added 20 points. Jeff Teague chipped in 15 points and 13 assists and Gorgui Dieng added 18 points and 8 rebounds. Dieng started at center in place of Towns.
The Wolves shot 54 percent from the field while Washington was held to 39 percent shooting. Bradley Beal led Washington with 30 points. Karl-Anthony Towns is serving a 2-game suspension for fighting with Joel Embeed in Philadelphia Wednesday.
