Huskies Close Out Regular Season with a Win

The St. Cloud State University volleyball team finished an impressive season with another big win over Upper Iowa University on Saturday.

The Peacocks took the first two sets 25-19 and 25-23 to take a 2-0 lead over the Huskies. SCSU rallied and cleaned out Upper Iowa winning the final three sets 25-23, 25-20, and 16-14 to win it 3-2.

Linsey Rachel ended the day with 22 kills and 19 digs. Rachel Houle tallied a team-high three aces and Phebie Rossi notched 15 kills and six blocks. Maddy Torve finished with 60 assists, and Taylor Olstad added 28 digs, two assists, and an ace.

The Huskies improve to 23-5 and 15-5 NSIC. With the win, they clinch the #4 seed in the NSIC Tournament. SCSU will take on #5 Wayne State College on Friday at 5:00 p.m.
