With sports on an indefinite hiatus, I have taken to YouTube to check out one game every day. On Tuesday, I watched the 1998 MLB Wild Card play-in game between the Cubs and Atlanta.

My dad and I would take a road trip to Wrigley Field every summer, the peak of which was the summer of 1998. Sammy Sosa was in the race to Roger Maris' single-season home run record of 61, and the Cubs were relevant for the first time in forever.

We went to a handful of games that summer and saw Barry Bonds with the Giants and Randy Johnson in his short stint with the Astros. With WGN carrying most of the team's games, it was easy to follow the team from Minnesota.

The recording of this game includes the original commercials for an added boost of nostalgia and there are a couple of former Twins in the game including Kevin Tapani and Gary Gaetti.
