Timberwolves Fire Kurt Rambis

The Timberwolves terminated the contract of head coach Kurt Rambis today.  Rambis spent the last 2 seasons as the Wolves head coach and compiled a record of 32-132.  He had 2 years left on his contract.  Wolves President of Basketball Operations David Kahn says "I want to thank Kurt for his contributions to our franchise and wish him the best in his future endeavors."

The NBA is currently in a lockout and the lockout could last into the 2011-2012 NBA season.
