Souhan; Vikings Getting Ready for Mahomes Just in Case [PODCAST]

The Vikings will play at Kansas City Sunday against the Chiefs at Noon, pregame on WJON at 11 a.m.  Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes sustained a knee injury a couple of weeks ago and didn't play last week against Green Bay.  He has taken part on a limited basis in practice this week,  Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today.  He isn't sure if Mahome or backup Matt Moore will start against the Vikings Sunday.  Listen to our conversation below.

The Gopher football team is off this season but will play against Penn State Saturday November 9th in what will be their biggest test of the season.  Jim isn't sure why fans aren't selling out TCF Bank Stadium but he doesn't expect ESPN's Game Day show to be in Minnesota for the game next week.

The NBA suspended Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns and Philadelphia center Joel Embeed for 2 games apiece because of their fight Wednesday.  The Wolves host Washington Saturday at 7pm.  Jim isn't surprised either player was suspended but also thought Ben Simmons should have received some punishment for putting his hands/arms around Towns' throat.
