Souhan; Timberwolves’ Layman Fits [PODCAST]

The Timberwolves improved to 6-4 after a 120-116 win at Detroit Monday night.  Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today.  He says the additional of the versatile Jake Layman has really helped this team.  Layman made 4 of 5 3-pointers last night while chipping in 16 points off the bench.  Listen to the conversation below.

The Gopher men's basketball team will play at Butler tonight in what is their 2nd of 3 straight tough non conference games away from home.  Jim thinks this team will learn about themselves during this stretch and it could make them better because of it.

The Vikings won't likely get Adam Thielen or Linval Joseph back for their game Sunday against Denver but Jim says they are in great position to improve to 8-3 against the Broncos who are forced to use a backup quarterback.
