Souhan; Gophers Miss Out on 5-Star Recruit [PODCAST]

The Gopher men's basketball team did not get 5-star recruit Dawson Garcia from Prior Lake.  The 6'11 senior chose Marquette over Minnesota, Indiana and Memphis.  Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today.  Jim says some of the 5-star in-state recruits the Gophers did get in the past really didn't work out like Royce White and Kris Humphries.  Listen below.

The Timberwolves lost at home against Utah Wednesday night.  The Wolves didn't shoot the ball well.  Jim gives Utah credit but also says the Wolves missed Jake Layman.

The Gopher football team still doesn't know if they will have quarterback Tanner Morgan Saturday at Northwestern.  Jim thinks he'd play even if they cleared him Saturday morning.
