The San Jose Sharks beat the Minnesota Wild 6-5 Thursday night at SAP Centre in Northern California. The loss drops the Wild to 5-10-1 on the season.

Logan Couture started a first-period San Jose scoring barrage with a goal less than a minute into the third period. By the time the dust settled, the Sharks held a 4-0 lead at the first intermission.

The teams traded goals in the second period, with Luke Kunin and Eric Staal each scoring for the Wild to make the score 6-2 heading into the third period.

Brad Hunt, Ryan Donato and Jason Zucker all scored goals for Minnesota in a third period comeback attempt that fell a goal short.

The Wild's road trip continues Saturday night with a game in Arizona. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. on WJON.
