The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced that it will move forward with plans to play a full spring sports schedule in 2021. The conference also provided an update on the 2020 fall sports which were postponed until this spring.

The University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs beat the SCSU women's basketball team 67-55 Sunday afternoon in the NSIC Tournament championship game in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The loss drops the Huskies to 12-5 overall this season and places their fate in the hands of the NCAA Tournament selection committee.

The St. Cloud State men's basketball team saw its season come to an end with a 73-70 loss to Wayne State in the opening round of the NSIC Tournament Thursday night in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

SCSU men's basketball coach Matt Reimer joined WJON's "Hang Up and Listen" this week to discuss the team's split with UMD that sent them to the tourney, the growth of his young team this season, what he expects to see from Wayne State on Thursday and what he expects his team to get out of participating in the tournament.

The St. John's University basketball team is 2-0 so far this season and is ranked #4 in the country after wins over St. Mary's and Hamline. However, the Johnnies' season is currently paused due to COVID-19 protocols.
