The Waite Park youth baseball team improved to 3-0 in pool play at the 13AAA Babe Ruth World Series in Kitsap, Washington.  Waite Park defeated Meridian, Idaho 8-7 Friday afternoon.  Michael Petron drove in the game-winning run in the 7th inning to lift the Silverstars to the win.  Cameron Dehler was 3-4 with 2 runs scored, Peter Nelson was 2-4 with 2 runs scored and both Jack Schramel and Joey Atkinson had 2 RBIs apiece.

Cameron Dehler threw 1 2/3 innings with 1 earned run allowed to get the win in relief.  Waite Park continues with pool play Sunday afternoon getting the day off today.  Waite Park will play Bryant, Arkansas at noon (CT) Sunday.
