Vikings Sign Veteran Running Back Off Waivers
The Vikings signed running back Ben Tate off the waiver wire Wednesday, one day after the veteran was released by the Cleveland Browns.
Tate was a second round pick for Houston in 2011 where he primarily backed up Arian Foster. He signed a two year contract with Cleveland during the offseason, but fell behind youngsters Terrence West and Isaiah Crowell on the Browns depth chart.
Tate is listed as 5-10, 220 lbs and is only 26 years old.
