The Gopher men's basketball team won 90-82 at home against St. Louis Sunday night. Minnesota made 10 3-pointers and 34 free throws on 41 attempts. The Gophers led by just 2 at halftime and had to hold off the scrappy Billikens.

The Gopher basketball team improved to 5-0 with a 85-80 overtime win over Boston College as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today. He says bench players Jamal Mashburn Jr., Isaiah Ihnen, and Tre Williams were big contributors in the win.

The Gopher basketball team got some good news Monday when the NCAA granted immediate eligibility to transfer Both Gach from Utah. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan says Gach will likely start right away and give the Gopher more depth than they've had in recent years.

The Gopher basketball team received a commitment from Austin, Minnesota native Both Gach. Gach chose Minnesota over Creighton, Iowa State, Auburn and Maryland. The 6'6 forward/guard played his first 2 college seasons at Utah before deciding to transfer.

The Gopher men's basketball team added grad transfer 6'8 power forward Brandon Johnson yesterday but were informed that 6'5 guard Payton Willis is transferring. Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today.

The Gopher men's basketball team is welcoming 6'8 220 pound power forward Brandon Johnson but is losing 6'5 guard Payton Willis. Johnson comes to Minnesota as a graduate transfer with 1 year of eligibility available after averaging 15 points and 8 rebounds a game last season at Western Michigan. Johnson is a Chicago native.
