Souhan; Vikings Not Likely to Make a Deal [PODCAST]

The NFL trade deadline is set for 3pm (CT) today.  Star Tribune Sports Columnist Jim Souhan joined me on WJON today.  He doesn't expect the Vikings to make a deal.  He says the one position of strength is corner back and that dealing Xavier Rhodes and his big contract would make some sense but he doesn't see it happening.  Players who could get dealt include Detroit corner back Darius Slay and Arizona corner back Patrick Peterson.  Listen below.

The Gopher men's basketball team won an exhibition game against Southwest Minnesota State Monday night.  Jim expects sophomore Daniel Oturu and Gabe Kalscheur to be the leading scorers this season but guards Peyton Willis and Marcus Carr will also play large roles.

The Gopher football game November 9 against #5 Penn State may be the biggest since 2004 for the program.  Jim think 10-2 is a possible season ending record for this year's team.
