Rocori Football Tops Winona to Advance to the Prep Bowl

The Rocori football team has advanced Class 4-A State Championship after topping Winona 48-24 at U.S. Bank Stadium Friday night.  Rocori trailed 14-7 at halftime but outscored Winona 20-3 in the 3rd quarter and 21-7 in the 4th quarter.

Jack Steil ran for 168 yards and 5 touchdowns and threw for 134 yards for the Spartans.  Brady Linn ran for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns for Rocori.    Tucker Haakonson had 3 interceptions for the Spartans.  Rocori forced 5 turnovers.  Jack Steil is also a great baseball player.  He has signed to play college baseball at the University of Nebraska.

Rocori improves to 10-2 and will play the SMB Wolfpack on November November 29 at 4pm.  Hear the game on AM 1240/FM 95.3 WJON.  SMB Wolfpack beat Hutchinson 22-16 Thursday.

Winona ends their season with an 11-1 record.
