The St. Cloud State University women's hockey team came up short against the University of Minnesota-Duluth on Friday.

UMD netted the first goal of the game early in the opening period. SCSU rallied in the second period, with goals from Taylor Lind and Emma Bigham giving them a 2-1 lead. The Bulldogs proved to be too much for the Huskies in the third and final period, scoring two more and locking up the win.

St. Cloud State goalkeeper Emma Polusny made a season-high 50 saves in the game and gave up just three goals.

The Huskies fall to 2-7 and 0-7 WCHA. They will play game two against the Bulldogs on Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
