Gopher Men’s Basketball Signs Two Players From Chicago

The Gopher men's basketball team signed 2 players to National Letters of Intent during the early signing period.  The two players were teammates at Chicago's De La Salle High School.  Alvin Ellis is a 6'4 combo guard who averaged 17 points and 4 rebounds a game as a junior and Alex Foster is a 6'8 forward who averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds as a juinor.

Elllis chose Minnesota over Kansas State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Tennessee, and Wichita State.  Foster chose Minnesota over Auburn, Wisconsin, Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, and Tennessee.  Both players are rated as 3-star recruits according to rivals.com.

The 2-0 Gopher Men's Basketball team will host Tennessee State at 7pm tonight, pregame on WJON at 6:30.
