Gopher Basketball to be Tested in Puerto Rico

The Gopher men's basketball team is 2-0 after posting wins over Missouri-Kansas City and UL-Monroe.  Minnesota faces Temple at 10:30am (CT) today in Puerto Rico in the Puerto Rico Tip-off Classic quarterfinals.  Temple was 26-11 last season but opened the season this season with a 91-67 loss  #1 North Carolina.

Minnesota has been led in scoring this season by 6'9 senior forward Joey King.  King is averaging 21 points per game while sophomore guard Nate Mason is scoring 11.5 points per game.  Minnesota play at noon Friday if they win today and at 9:30am (CT) Friday if they lose.  Hear Friday's game on AM 1390-the Fan.
