Cathedral Baseball Advances To State Championship Game

The Cathedral baseball team has advanced to the Class AA State Championship game after posting a 5-3 come from behind win over Fairmont Friday afternoon.

Fairmont scored 3 1st inning aiding by 2 Cathedral errors.  Cathedral responded with 1 run in the 2nd, 1 more in the 3rd and 3 runs in the 5th inning.  Matt Dietman had 2 hits and 2 RBIs and he threw 7 innings with 1 earned run allowed to get the win.

The Crusaders improve to 23-3 and will play for the Class AA state title at 3pm Tuesday June 21.  Hear the game on AM 1390-the Fan.
