In case you missed it, the 2012 schedule came out a few days ago for our beloved Minnesota Vikings.

Expectations are not very high for the 'Purple' this coming season, nor should they be.  We really don't know if Christian Ponder is going to develop into the quarterback that we drafted him to be.  There are some, even STILL in the organization, that question how good he is EVER going to be.  Believe it or not, though, the Vikings have bigger problems than him.

Adrian Peterson is coming off of major reconstructive knee surgery.  Not only do we NOT know if he will be ready for week one, we don't really know exactly how good he will be when he returns.  The offensive line needs a lot of work, too - and don't even get me started on the defense.

Back to the schedule.  It starts out very favorably.  I don't think they will be very good this year, at all - but the first two months have several games the Vikings can win.

Home games against; the Jaguars, the Titans, the Cardinals, and the Buccaneers.  Road games at; Indianapolis, Washington, and Seattle.  Those games are all before the bye week in week #11.

After that, there are only two home games - and the only game that is possibly a "win" - is a road game against the Rams.

Other than the Rams - the last five games consist of the Bears and Packers each twice, and a road game against the Texans.  In fact, I only have them winning one game after October 25.  Vikings fans should PRAY for five wins, total, this year.

I hope my fantasy team is good - and that Ricky Rubio comes back for the T'Wolves - or it's going to be a painfully long winter.
