The Twins topped the Cleveland Indians 3-1 Tuesday night at Target Field. The win, combined with a Houston loss against the Angels, puts the Twins two games behind the Astros for the final AL Wild Card spot.

Ervin Santana pitched well for the Twins, lasting until the eighth inning before being lifted. Santana allowed one run on five hits with seven strikeouts in picking up his sixth win of the season.

Minnesota scored all three of their runs in the third inning then held on for the win. Joe Mauer had an RBI double and a pair of walks, while Brian Dozier and Aaron Hicks each had a pair of hits in the win.

The Twins host Cleveland again Wednesday night. First pitch on WJON is scheduled for 7:10 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m.
