The city of Sartell continues to move forward with plans to develop the old paper mill site. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum joined me on WJON. He says the vision for the property includes trails, green space, residential, commercial and some sort of activity/sports feature.

Sartell's River Crossing will be close to full after 2 new businesses join the development this fall. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum indicates Valvoline Instant Oil Change and Les Schwab Tire Company will be breaking ground this fall.

The former Sartell paper mill site known as the city's Mill District's timeline has been pushed back a bit. That according to Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum. He says the city continues to work with their consultants, interest groups, stakeholders and the community.

Sartell's River Crossing is expected to fill up with development in 2024 and the latest one to announce they are going in is Valvoline Instant Oil Change and Maintenance. That according to Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum.

Commercial growth in Sartell along the Highway 15 corridor continues. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum expects the River Crossing Development to fill up in 2024. He says they have 4 to 5 lots available in the development.

The Sartell-St. Stephen School District doesn't include all of the city of Sartell. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum joined me on WJON. He explains the city of Sartell is in 3 school districts. The 3 are Sartell-St. Stephen, Sauk Rapids-Rice and St. Cloud School District 742.

The Sartell paper mill site is an empty canvas but what will appear on that canvas could become more apparent soon. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum joined me on WJON this week. On Monday night the Sartell city council met with consultants and reviewed the concept plan.

Sartell doesn't have any major road projects planned for 2024 but Mayor Ryan Fitzthum indicates 2025 will be a different story. He says in 2025 they are planning the westside reconstruct which is the area by the high school football field, Dezurik area, and this includes some of the oldest roads and infrastructure in the community.

The Aldi in Sartell will open in late fall. That according to Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum. The Aldi grocery store is part of the River Crossing development that also includes Chipotle, Mister Carwash and Starbucks.

Earlier this month Sartell opened their pedestrian bridge across the Mississippi River. Sartell Mayor Ryan Fitzthum joined me on WJON. He says he's received great feedback from residents and many have incorporated it on their daily walk or run.
