The Section 8-3-A and Section 6-2-A title will be decided tonight. Sartell-St. Stephen plays top seeded Bemidji tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Brainerd. Bemidji is seeded first in the section with Sartell as the #2 seed.

Longtime Albany girls basketball coach Jon Noreen died unexpectedly at his home last Friday. He was 67. Noreen led Albany to 7 state tournament appearances in 26 seasons at Albany and compiled a record of 476-186.

The newly formed Granite Ridge Conference is going from 7 schools in 2011-2012 to 9 schools in 2012-2013. The two schools joining in 2012-2013 are Albany and Becker. Albany decided today to leave the West Central Conference and make the move to the Granite Ridge Conference.
