First Responders Get In Free At The Norsemen’s Season Opener
Here comes hockey season in Central Minnesota! Billet parents have already been busy between both Junior clubs in the St. Cloud area. The Granite City Lumberjacks opened up their regular season play this past weekend, and on Friday night the St. Cloud Norsemen will open up their season at home, and it is sounding like there will plenty of fun for all ages before and during the game.
Home Opener Is Friday at 7pm, But Get There Early
This Friday night the St. Cloud Norsemen kick off the regular season with a home opening game against the Minnesota Mallards at the Municipal Athletic Complex (MAC) in St. Cloud. Puck drop is scheduled for 7pm, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get there early, or stick around through the entire game.
The home opener will feature free admission for first responders, so police, EMT's, fire fighters, etc. will be able to attend the game for free Friday night. Also before the game starting at 5:30pm there will be different emergency vehicles at the MAC for kids both young and old to enjoy.
Last year the Norsemen finished 5th in the Central Division with a record of 30-22-1-6. The Mallards finished in 8th place with a record of 10-45-2-2.
Axe Throwing & Chances At Winning Some Serious $$$
On top of free admission for first responders coming to the game, thanks to the Red Carpet Night Club in downtown St. Cloud, there will be axe throwing for fans ahead of the game, and during the 2nd intermission 5 lucky fans will get the chance at $8,000!

Also, the first 250 fans will recieve a magnetic schedule, that features the entire season's worth of games, making it easy to keep up with the Norsemen's schedule. You can look at the entire season's schedule, by heading here.
If you are interested in attending the game, tickets are $11 for adults and $9 for senior citizens, students, and military. Kids under 5 get in for free.
