Rogers, Minnesota native Hannah Sjerven was drafted by the Minnesota Lynx Monday night with the 28th overall pick in the WNBA draft. Sjerven played college basketball for the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota where she  saw action in 126 career contests throughout four seasons at the University of South Dakota, registering career averages of 13.9 ppg, 7.5 rpg and 1.2 apg in 22.2 mpg.  Sjerven is a 6'2 center.

The Lynx also drafted 6'1 forward Kayla Jones from N.C. State with the 22nd overall pick in the WNBA draft Monday night.  Jones was a 3rd round pick while Sjerven was a 4th round pick.  Minnesota traded their 1st and 2nd round picks (8tth and 13th) overall to the Las Vegas Aces for the Aces' 1st and 2nd round picks in 2023.
