The Gopher women's basketball team won their Big Ten home opener 83-74 over Ohio State Thursday night.  Rachel Banham led the Gophers with 24 points and Micaella Riche added 20 points and 8 rebounds and Kionna Kellogg added 13 points for Minnesota.

The Gophers out-rebounded Ohio State 44-29 and committed just 10 turnovers compared to 17 turnovers for Ohio State.  The Gophers are 13-4 overall and 2-1 in the Big Ten.  Minnesota will play at Purdue Thursday January 17 at 6pm.
