Gopher Football Tops Buffalo 17-7
The Gopher football team started the P.J. Fleck era with a 17-7 home win against Buffalo last night. The Gopher led 14-7 at halftime and managed just a field goal in the 4th quarter.
Connor Rhoda split time at quarterback with Demry Croft. Rhoda threw for 176 yards and 1 touchdown with 1 interception while Croft threw for just 63 yards. Tyler Johnson was the top receiver with 6 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown. Rodney Smith ran for 76 yards on 23 carries and Shannon Brooks ran for 69 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown.
The 1-0 Gophers will play at Oregon State at 9pm September 9. Hear the game on AM 1390.
