The Milwaukee Bucks have officially released former Tech and South Dakota State standout Nate Wolters from their roster. The Bucks dropped the point guard to free roster space to sign forward Kenyon Martin.

Wolters' agent Jared Karnes issued a statement via Twitter:

"Having four capable point guards is a luxury for any NBA team and the Bucks found themselves in that position. Nate understands the business.... I have already had several teams reach out and express interest in Nate. Nate is very appreciative of the opportunity he had to play with the Bucks, is grateful to all the fans, and looks forward to his next opportunity."

Wolters added that he is "appreciative of the Bucks drafting me and the opportunity to play here in Milwaukee."

Wolters averaged 2.3 points per game in just under an average of 13 minutes played per game this season with the Bucks. The second-year player averaged 6.4 points per game in 21 minutes per game last season.

The Bucks are scheduled to host the Timberwolves on Friday night.
