The Vikings selected 8 players Saturday in the final day of the NFL draft.  They may have acquired some value with these picks.  According to NFLdraftscout.com the final day of the draft was a good one for the Vikings.  Defensive lineman Christian Ballard, picked in the 4th round by the Vikings, was projected as a 2nd rounder by NFLdraftscout.com.  The Vikings picked cornerback Brandon Burton in the 5th round and he was projected as a 2nd/3rd rounder.  Minnesota took tackle Demarcus Love in 6th round, he was projected as a 2nd round pick, center Brandon Fusco was picked in the 6th round, he projected as a 5th rounder and linebacker Ross Homan was picked in the 6th round and he projected as a 5th round pick.  Drafting is all about projections and perceived value.  The perception was that the Vikings didn't get value with quarterback Christian Ponder in the first round but it appears they got that value with most of their other picks.  Time will tell.
