Twins Beat Padres 6-5
The Twins welcomed back Joe Mauer and beat the San Diego Padres 6-5 Friday night at Target Field. Danny Valencia hit a 3-run homerun and Mauer was 1-4 with a first inning RBI single. Brian Duensing threw 6 innings with 2 earned runs allowed to get the win. Matt Capps threw a scoreless 9th inning for the save. Minnesota has won five straight and is 29-39 on the season just 8 games back of first place in the AL Central. The Twins host San Diego tonight at 6:10, hear the game on WJON.
