The Twins have added 8 players to their 40-man Major League roster and invite each player to spring training with a chance to make the team.  Among the 8 players added are righthanded starting pitcher Kyle Gibson, who is coming off elbow surgery.  Gibson was 3-2 with a 5.40 ERA pitching in the Arizona Fall League.

The Twins have also added 2008 first round pick centerfielder Aaron Hicks.  Hicks hit .286 with 13 homeruns, 61 RBIs, 100 runs scored and 32 stolen bases.  The other players added are shortstop Danny Santana, catcher Josmil Pinto, lefthander Caleb Thielbar, righthanders B.J. Hermsen, Michael Tonkin, and Tim Wood.

The Twins are reportedly still pursuing free agent starting pitchers Anibal Sanchez, Zach Greinke, Ryan Dempster, and Brandon McCarthy.
