The Twins lost 7-1 in Detroit to the Tigers Thursday afternoon.  The game was delayed more than 3 hours due to rain and inclement weather.  Kyle Gibson threw just 3 2/3 innings with 8 hits, 5 walks and 6 earned runs allowed.  He takes the loss.  Shane Greene allowed 4 hits and 1 unearned run in 8 innings to get the win for the Tigers.  The Twins managed only 5 hits in the game.  Joe Mauer was 1-3 with a run scored.

Minnesota were swept in the 3-game series in Detroit and was outscored 22-1.  The Twins begin a 3-game series in Chicago against the White Sox today at 3:10, pregame on WJON at 2:40.  Lefthander Tommy Millone will start on the mound for the Twins.
