Giants Down Twins 5-1 To Snap Win Streak
The Twins lost 5-1 at San Francisco Wednesday night to snap their 8-game win streak. The Giants snap their 5-game losing streak. Ryan Vogelsong threw 7 innings with 1 earned run allowed to get the win for the Giants. Nick Blackburn allowed 3 hits and 2 earned runs to take the loss and drop to 6-5. Michael Cuddyer and Delmon Young each had 2 hits for the Twins and Tsuyoshi Nishioka drove in the lone Twins' run.
Minnesota is 32-40 and is now 7 1/2 games back of Cleveland for first place in the American League Central. The Twins wrapup the 3-game series at San Francisco at 2:45 this afternoon, pregame on WJON at 2:15.
