With summer officially here in Central Minnesota, now that we are past Memorial Day, and folks from all over are flocking North on Friday afternoons and back South on Sunday. If you are heading up Highway 169, on your way to Lake Mille Lacs, you should spend some time in the town of Pease, as their AMAZING cafe is back open!

I know there are more offerings in Pease other than the cafe, but this is the time of year I think about the biscuits and gravy, of a gooey caramel roll, before heading out on the lake to fish or lounge next to the lake for an afternoon.

I was sad when I heard last August that the cafe had closed, and with its closure, other Pease businesses felt the sting too. But back in November, a collection of individuals re-opened the cafe, which appears to be going well for the new owners.

The new owners, according to this November 2023 article from HometownSource.com are "Scott Minks and Diana Corbin and they reopened the small-town favorite on Friday, Nov. 3"

The Pease Cafe posts to their social media page pretty much daily, highlighting what that day's special will be, and I'll be one of the first to admit that it's great to see the food served looks just as delicious as ever, and still very affordable based on the prices I am seeing.

If you've never been to the cafe in Pease, have you ever really been 'up north'?

**This is a small town cafe, have patience with the staff, if it's packed, take some time to admire where you are. Don't be rude, as we are all trying our best.
