MINNEAPOLIS - 44-year-old Twins starter Bartolo Colon pitched a complete game in the Twins 8-4 victory over the Texas Rangers Friday night at Target Field.

The win is Colons' first as a member of the Minnesota Twins, and makes him the second oldest player in American League in the last 25 years to to win a complete game.

A complete game didn't look like a possibility after Colon gave up two runs in the 1st inning.

Luckily for Colon, the Twins bats got hot early and tallied four runs of their own own in the 1st inning.  Minnesota 2nd baseman Brian Dozier hit his first of two home-runs on the night with a lead-off smash. Dozier also homered to start the second inning.

Dozier finished the evening with three hits, three runs, and two RBI's.

Later in the first inning, after Miguel Sano and Joe Mauer each reached base, Minnesota's Robbie Grossman knocked a three-run home-run to give the Twins a 4-2.

Colon (1-1) threw 106 pitches and gave up four runs on nine hits, with five strike-outs.
