The City of Minneapolis and Ramsey County have emerged as possible local partners with the Vikings to build a new stadium.  The Minneapolis proposal would build the stadium on the current Metrodome site while the Ramsey County location would build the stadium on the former Munitions site in Arden Hills.  The biggest plus for the Metrodome site is that road infrastructure is already in place but the negative is that suitable parking isn't available there and can't be because of land scarcity.  The Arden Hills site offers enough space for parking surrounding a new stadium.  Most NFL venues have parking surrounding their stadiums which allows for tailgating.  When a large investment is made it should be done right and building a stadium in Arden Hills with parking and room to expand would be the right move.
