St. Cloud School Among Recipients Of WWE Supply Drive
A St. Cloud School is among 12 Minnesota educational institutions who received additional classroom essentials thanks to a World Wrestling Entertainment Teacher Supply Drive held in conjunction with the SummerSlam event held in Minneapolis this summer.
The WWE joined tag-teamed with Minnesota Sports and Events, Kids In Need Foundation, Blaze Credit Union and Mall of America to fill 250 boxes of supplies for schools across the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

St. Cloud's own Success Academy was a recipient of a donation, along with schools in Moorhead, Red Lake, Minneapolis, Fergus Falls, Ogema, Onamia, Austin and others.
“Hosting SummerSlam gave us an opportunity to create an impact that extended well beyond an unforgettable weekend at U.S. Bank Stadium,” said Wendy Blackshaw, president and CEO of Minnesota Sports and Events in a press release. “Minnesotans enthusiastically stepped up to support teachers and students across our state, and we are incredibly grateful to WWE and each of our partners for making that possible.”
Overall, the supply and cash contributions to the effort totaled $62,500.
TEACHERS IN NEED
“Teachers should be able to focus on helping students learn and thrive instead of whether their classrooms have the basic supplies they need,” said Rashelle Oxborough of Kids In Need Foundation in a release. “This campaign brought together an incredible group of partners and supporters to equip educators across Minnesota and help students begin the year ready to succeed.”
