Four-year-old Seriously Hurt After Falling From Moving Lawnmower
SWANVILLE TOWNSHIP (WJON News) -- A four-year-old child was hurt after being run over by a lawnmower on Friday afternoon. The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says they received a call around 1:30 p.m. about a child who had been run over by a lawnmower at a home off 65th Street in Swanville Township, which is about three miles northwest of Upsala.
Authorities say a 33-year-old Swanville man was driving a zero-turn lawnmower with a four-year-old child from Lake Orion, Michigan, riding on the front platform. The child fell off the platform and was partially run over while the blades were engaged. The child sustained extensive injuries and was airlifted to Children's Minnesota Minneapolis Hospital for treatment. The incident remains under investigation.
