Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular Opens This Month at Minnesota Zoo

It's Baaack!  I love this time of year, when you can have some fun creating some great pumpkins - or at least the design that is made from the pumpkin.

THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR FALL EVENTS IN MINNESOTA

This event at the Minnesota Zoo is one of my favorites.  And it has become one of the most popular family events over the Fall/Halloween time of year.  You can wander through thousands of pumpkins big and small with almost any type of design you can think of carved on them.

TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW - BUY YOURS IN ADVANCE

Tickets are on sale now for this event.  If you are a member, you can save a little money on the tickets.  It's easy to become one, if you would like.  Just go to their website, and it will walk you through the process.

Otherwise, the tickets are priced at a range from $23-30 for adults and $19-$26 for children. Plus $10 for parking. This price is per car.  So carpooling as much as possible is a great idea.  If you are a member, you can save about $3-$4 off of the general admission price.

ENTRY TIMES ARE STAGGERED SO THAT THERE IS LESS BACKUP ON THE TRAIL

It's best to order you tickets in advance because you will also be reserving your time slot to wander through the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular.  The Minnesota Zoo wants to stagger entrances so that there is less chance of a bottleneck occuring.  The Zoo also recommends that you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time to enter the trail.  That way you give yourself enough time to get to the entrance and are ready to go when your time is up to enter.

The pumpkin trail opens on September 25th and will remain open through November 1st.

TRY SOMETHING NEW AND FUN THIS YEAR

This year, they also have something new and fun to do.  It involves some trivia, so if you love those games, you will definitely like this one too.

Put your trivia skills to the test as you make your way along the trail. You’ll encounter trivia questions, and the pumpkins themselves are the answers – can you figure out which pumpkin is the right one? From questions kids will know to answers the adults will recognize, the pumpkin artists have plenty of tricks to keep everyone guessing.
